Hyran van Schalkwyk founded HvS Attorneys with a clear purpose: to provide clients with structured legal guidance and take the decisive legal steps required to resolve their matters. He brings a practical, analytical approach to every engagement — one that moves from clarity to action.
Hyran handles a range of legal matters for individuals and businesses across business and commercial law, employment and workplace disputes, property and rental matters, and wills and estate planning. He draws on a multi-disciplinary academic background and is currently completing his M.Phil in Fraud Risk Management.
His approach is built on understanding the full picture, applying the law precisely, and implementing the appropriate legal steps — from advisory and drafting through to formal legal processes and representation where required.

An Initial Consultation is a structured session in which we assess your legal matter, clarify your legal position, and determine the most appropriate course of action. This includes determining whether advisory guidance, formal legal steps, drafting, dispute resolution, or representation is required. It is the recommended first step for most clients.
HvS Attorneys provides both. Following a consultation, we can advise, draft, correspond, file, represent, and take the necessary formal legal steps depending on what your matter requires. We handle both the advisory and execution components of your legal matter.
Consultations are primarily conducted online, making quality legal assistance accessible across South Africa. In-person meetings are available at our Illovo, Sandton offices by appointment where appropriate.
